We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading property services provider in Welwyn. If you have a strong background in commercial control, project management, and cost reporting, this is the perfect opportunity for you to contribute to a growing and dynamic team.

About the Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee the day-to-day commercial control, reporting, and management of multiple projects from award to final account. You will conduct site visits, carry out surveying duties, and maintain regular updates to your line manager on the progress of client and sub-contract accounts.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the commercial aspects of allocated projects, including accurate and timely documentation (CVRs, forecasts, cash flow, and the commercial register).
• Working with the Procurement Team to ensure cost-effective procurement of sub-trades and suppliers.
• Managing the production of main/sub-contract final accounts, including re-measurement and evaluation of variations, extensions of time, and claims.
• Ensuring best results in the completion of projects through effective cost and time management.

About You:

We're looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with:

• Strong knowledge of measurement and valuation, and understanding of budgets, forecasts, and final accounts.
• Experience with responsive, cyclical, and planned maintenance.
• Competency in IT systems and software packages.
• Familiarity with NHF SOR version 7 (desirable).
• A RICS qualification is a bonus.
