Tameside Council is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to provide maternity cover for a solo children's home from March to October 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a permanent and well-established staff team in delivering high-quality care and support to a young person in a solo placement.
About the Role:
✅ Location: Ashton-under-Lyne (attendance required 5 days per week)

✅ Out of Hours Cover: Required Friday-Monday and Bank Holidays
✅ Team: Established, permanent staff team in place
About You:
🔹 Experienced Registered Manager with a strong track record in children's residential care
🔹 Preferably Ofsted-approved (fit person interview completed)
🔹 Skilled in PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy) and Team Teach strategies
🔹 Strong leadership, safeguarding knowledge, and a commitment to providing high-quality care
This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring an experienced and resilient professional who can ensure the smooth running of the home, maintain Ofsted compliance, and support the young person's needs in a trauma-informed and nurturing environment.
