Registered Manager - Children's Residential Home (EBD)
Location: Coventry, West Midlands, UK
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (including on-call duties)
Lead and manage a children's residential home (ages 7-18 with EBD), ensuring high-quality, therapeutic, trauma-informed care and regulatory compliance
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Operations: Provide strong leadership, ensure regulatory compliance (Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards), develop and maintain policies and procedures, create a positive work environment, and manage health and safety.
- EBD Support: Oversee admissions, care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management for children with EBD. Champion trauma-informed care, promote emotional resilience, and plan engaging activities. Support young people's transition to adulthood and community inclusion.
- Safeguarding & Compliance: Act as DSL, maintain Ofsted compliance, monitor quality assurance, and ensure a strong safeguarding culture.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and support staff; conduct regular supervisions and appraisals; and implement a continuous improvement plan.
- Multi-Agency Working: Liaise effectively with external stakeholders, advocating for children's needs.
- Financial & Administration: Manage budget, resources, and staffing; ensure accurate record-keeping and data protection compliance; and report on performance.

- NVQ Level 5 Leadership & Management (Residential Childcare) or equivalent.
- 2+ years' experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy in children's residential care.
- Proven experience with children/young people with EBD, trauma, and complex behaviors.
- In-depth knowledge of Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted framework.
- Enhanced DBS check and full UK driving license.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to participate in on-call rota.
