We are looking for a registered manager to lead a team within a fostering agency and provide outstanding care and support.
Job Description:
As the Registered Manager your job is to make sure that our fostering service runs smoothly every day and follows all the rules and laws that apply to us. As a leader you will work with a team of committed employees and collaborate with foster parents, government officials and other partners to provide top-notch care that focuses on the health and success of children and teenagers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the team that supports foster families to make sure they provide excellent services that follow the agency's values laws about fostering and OFSTED rules.
This includes the rules and guidelines set by the government for fostering and inspections done by OFSTED. Be accountable for getting ready for inspections and keeping up with top-notch results.
Support foster parents by supervising helping them grow and offering assistance to make sure they can give children safe and loving homes.
Developing services: Collaborate with senior management to put into action the agency's long-term plans and help enhance and expand the services provided.
Ensure that you are in charge of safeguarding and risk management. Make sure that strong safeguarding procedures are in place and that all staff and foster carers are trained and follow safeguarding practices.
Manage the process of finding, evaluating and accepting new foster parents to make sure they meet the agency's requirements and beliefs. Encourage keeping workers by providing continuous help and involvement.
Work together with local authorities, social workers, health professionals and other stakeholders to create and keep good relationships. This will help make sure that everyone works together effectively and that children have good results.
Essential Requirements:
Experience: At least 5 years' post-qualifying experience in a fostering, children's services, or social care setting, with 2+ years in a management or leadership role.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management experience, with a track record of delivering high-quality services.
Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of fostering regulations, OFSTED standards, and safeguarding procedures.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with staff, foster carers, children, and external stakeholders.
Desirable:
Level 5 in Leadership and Management: Holding or working towards this qualification is desirable. If you do not already hold it, the company will enrol you on the course and support you in completing it.
Previous experience as a Registered Manager in a fostering agency.
