🤝 Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver high-quality R.E. lessons that engage and challenge students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach A-level Religious Studies.
- Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning and critical thinking about religious and ethical issues.
- Employ diverse teaching strategies and resources to meet the varied needs and abilities of students.
- Regularly assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their progress and development.
- Work collaboratively with the R.E. department and other staff to enrich the curriculum and incorporate innovative teaching practices.
- Lead and participate in extracurricular activities, such as interfaith forums, cultural exchanges, and ethical debates, to enhance students' learning experiences.
📚 Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience teaching R.E. at the secondary school level.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the R.E. curriculum and effective pedagogical strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Enthusiastic about inspiring students to explore and respect different religious and ethical viewpoints.
