We're looking for a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Religious Studies Teacher to join our partnered Secondary School in March!

About the Role:

As a Religious Studies Teacher, you'll inspire students to explore the rich tapestry of world religions, philosophies, and ethical dilemmas. You'll create dynamic lessons that encourage open-minded discussion, critical analysis, and personal reflection, helping students understand not just what people believe, but why they believe it.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
DBS on the update service
Strong knowledge of the Religious Studies curriculum and experience teaching at secondary level
The ability to foster respectful discussions and critical thinking in the classroom
A passion for encouraging students to explore complex ideas with empathy and curiosity

Key Responsibilities :

Planning and delivering engaging lessons covering world religions, ethical theories, philosophy, and religious practices.
Ensuring lessons are inclusive, respectful of diverse beliefs, and encourage critical thinking.
Facilitating open discussions on sensitive topics such as morality, justice, and the meaning of life.
Encouraging students to analyze different perspectives and develop their own informed viewpoints.
Designing assessments to evaluate students' understanding of religious concepts and their ability to apply critical analysis.
Teaching about a variety of religious traditions, beliefs, and practices to promote tolerance and understanding.
Addressing misconceptions and stereotypes in a thoughtful and educational manner.
