Join our dedicated team at a new Registered Children's Home in Llandudno, to provide nurturing, bespoke support to children and young people with a variety of experiences such as childhood trauma, mental health challenges, ASD etc.

We are looking for caring, enthusiastic individuals who can create a homely and supportive environment, focused on helping young people build life skills, independence, and confidence.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Supporting children to have their voices heard and help them to achieve their goals
  
  
• Encouraging positive behaviour, managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour and help children express themselves in healthy ways.
  
  
• Organising fun, engaging activities tailored to their interests and following care plans and risk assessments - from baking and crafts to trampolining and beach visits we are looking for proactive people who are ready to roll their sleeves up!
  
  
• Promoting independence and wellbeing through everyday routines and community involvement - encouraging engagement in education and planning for life after care.
  
  
• Providing consistent, high-quality care within a positive behaviour support framework.
  
  

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) is essential
  
  
• Experience supporting children and young people, especially those with behaviours of concern.
  
  
• A team player with a positive, resilient outlook and a willingness to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
  
  
• Willingness to undertake further training, including Makaton/PECS and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
  
  
• A compassionate, trustworthy, and creative approach to care.
