To work as a roofer in the UK, get roofing qualifications through apprenticeships or certificate and diploma courses. Pursue a Level 2 Diploma in Roof Slating and Tiling or a Level 2 Diploma in Roofing Occupations. Alternatively, find an intermediate roofer apprenticeship that takes two years to complete. You also need a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card to work in construction.
