To join a dedicated and diligent team in Harpenden, Randstad is presently searching for a Teaching Assistant who is energetic, composed, and organised. You'll be responsible for helping the classroom teacher with various tasks including preparing lesson plans, grading papers, and providing one-on-one support for individual students who may need extra assistance. You'll also help to maintain a positive and productive learning environment for the students.

Your responsibilities will include:

Support in all areas of the primary curriculum
Organise the classroom and learning resources and create displays to encourage a
positive learning environment.
Managing behaviour and supporting the class teacher, planning, preparing and present
Support in lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class
Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience of all children
Working with small groups and 1:1
Have a flexible approach and ability to adapt resources on the spot
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentations and Maintain discipline

These are some of the requirements that we need from you:

Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
2 recent professional references
Experience with challenging behaviours
A calm & caring personality
A strong and resilient personality and commitment to pupil's development
Reading, writing, numeracy and communication skills
Team Teach trained - or willing to attend training
