Job Role: Newly Qualified Adults Social Worker, Safeguarding Adults Unit Team (MCA)
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £22 per hour
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Newly Qualified Adults Social Worker to join our dynamic Safeguarding Adults Unit Team (MCA) based in Newcastle. In this critical role, you will play an essential part in safeguarding vulnerable adults, ensuring their safety, well-being, and rights are upheld.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of adults at risk to determine their needs and develop appropriate care plans.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to implement and monitor safeguarding plans.
- Provide advice and support to individuals, families, and carers regarding safeguarding issues.
- Participate in safeguarding investigations and make informed decisions to protect vulnerable adults.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all safeguarding activities and interventions.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of adults at risk, ensuring their voice is heard and respected
Requirements:
- Registered with Social work England
- A Degree in Social work or Diploma in SW, CQSW, CSS
- Right to Work in UK
- Enhanced DBS check, dated within the last 12 months
- Post-qualifying experience in a similar role.
- Background in managing complex safeguarding issues.
- Strong understanding of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and its application in safeguarding.
- MCA and Care Act Proficiency: Experience completing Mental Capacity Assessments and Care Act assessments accurately and efficiently.
