Job Title: Children's Social Worker (Support and Protect Team)
Location: Workington, Cumbria
Salary: £50 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract
Are you a dedicated and compassionate social worker with a passion for making a difference in children's lives? We are seeking an experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Support and Protect team in Workington, Cumbria. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, offering support and protection to vulnerable children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify their needs.
- Develop and implement care plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including health professionals, educators, and law enforcement.
- Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support to children and families.
- Ensure all interventions are in line with statutory regulations and organisational policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of children in various settings, including court proceedings.
Requirements:
- Registered with Social work England
- A Degree in Social work or Diploma in SW, CQSW, CSS
- Right to Work in UK
- Enhanced DBS check, dated within the last 12 months
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in children's social care.
- Knowledge of child development, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Experience working with children and families, preferably within a child protection or family support setting.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a diverse caseload.
