About the School:

They are now seeking a dedicated and organised Administration Assistant with a keen attention to detail to support this secondary school in Newham. This is a full-time perm role, Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm.

Your role will include:
- Greet visitors and parents, responding to inquiries and resolving issues
- Manage incoming calls, emails and inquiries in a professional and efficient manner
- Provide general administrative support as and when required by the Office Manager
- Maintain accurate student attendance records, follow up on absences and handle attendance-related matters
- Track calendar and schedule appointments for students, parents and staff members efficiently
- Assist with various administrative tasks, including handling correspondence, filing documents, managing mail and maintaining student records
- Handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality, particularly student records and personal details
- Manage school supplies and coordinate transportation arrangements for school events or projects
- Support the enrollment and registration process by providing information to prospective students and their families, and collecting necessary documents
- To provide administrative support, by agreement, at out of hours events such as parents' evenings, as and when required
We are looking for someone with the below skills:
- Experience as a School Administrator or similar administrative role within a public sector setting
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent telephone manner, being polite and courteous at all times
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and school management software
- Eligibility to work in the UK is ESSENTIAL (sponsorship is not available with this role)
- DBS on a update service is a must or willingness to complete a new DBS
- 2 recent relevant references
