Randstad is currently recruiting an Art Technician who has a good understanding on how to pick up various tasks. You will be required to work from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, Monday-Friday, as this is a full-time position that starts soon.
Responsibilities for this position:
- Attending weekly Art Departmental meetings when necessary
- To be responsible for the safe storage and transit of materials and equipment
- Playing a key role in producing the department's printmaking and sculpture/3D work and assisting with ceramics work - from processing to firing and finishing
- Developing and maintaining an effective art apparatus / materials store
- Overseeing displays of student artwork in the department and around the school
- Taking a key role in installing and taking down of exhibitions
- Maintaining and updating current subject specific knowledge
- To assist in the running of the Art Department
- To be responsible for the content of skills demonstrations or help given by technicians in the workshops

Requirement skills for this role:
- Right to work in the UK (Essential)
- Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get new one
- 2 recent professional references
- Previous Art Technician experience, preferably within a school environment
- Focus on the impact and outcomes of Art Technician activities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented approach
