The main targets of successful candidate will be:
- Keep reliable computerised attendance records in the SIMS database
- Identify all students reported absent during period one and two
- Record all reported absences from parents' phone calls and notes
- Records all explained absences, trips and roll information from relief classes on SIMS database
- Continue to monitor reported absentees throughout the day
- Tracking absentee statistics in the school SIMS database and following up the absentees
- Follow up any students reported absence without explanation with a text to parents/caregivers prior to midday
Requirements for this role:
- Right to work in the UK (Essential)
- Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get new one
- Previous Attendance Officer work experience, preferably within a school environment
- Focus on the impact and outcomes of Attendance activities
- 2 recent professional references
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented approach
