Due to high demand, a set of Schools based in Preston- PR4 we are seeking an experienced and proactive Bursar to join our team and contribute to the financial and operational management of our school.
As Bursar, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial resources of the school, ensuring effective budgeting, financial planning, and compliance with relevant regulations. You will work closely with the Headteacher, governing body, and other stakeholders to support the strategic development of the school.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the school's financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, and reporting.
- Manage payroll, procurement, and contracts in line with school policies.
- Prepare financial reports and present them to the governing body and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and audits.
- Support the development of long-term financial strategies.
- Supervise administrative staff and oversee the management of school facilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Relevant qualifications in finance, business management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a financial management role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities effectively..
Requirements:
- An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Comprehensive CV covering the last 10 years of education/employment history with any breaks explained.
