We are seeking a dedicated and organised School Business Manager to join our vibrant team at this school.
School hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday and this is a full time position that is open to start ASAP
Your role as a School Business Manager will include:
- Ability to prepare and manage the school budget
- Financial accounting and reporting systems, budget monitoring and the use of prudent financial practices
- To be responsible for the development and management of income generation including:
negotiation of lease and contract agreements including site lettings
- To ensure that financial systems adhere to statutory audit requirements
- To help and clarify the duties of budget holders within the school's financial management system, financial operation and procurement manuals have been developed
- To work flexibly and undertake other duties as may be required by the Headteacher, to ensure the smooth running of the school
- Carry out Professional Development Reviews of site and Office/Administrative staff and initiate relevant professional development
- Ensure staff are paid in line with their agreed terms and salary scales and details are accurately recorded in the School's financial records
- Lead on the recruitment of site and office/ administrative school personnel in conjunction with the Headteacher
Required skills for this role:
- Minimum 2 years of experience with a proven track record in a senior or lead role
- School Business Manager Certificate (CSBM)
- Eligibility to work in the UK. (This is essential)
- DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
- Have proven expertise in financial management, strategic financial thinking and analysis
- Previous school experience and now looking for the next step up
