This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager to provide essential support to this school. The role will start as soon as possible and the candidate will be expected to work 8:00am to 4:00 Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities of this position involve the following:
... - To contribute to the Critical Incident plan on all Facilities and Health and Safety related matters
- To sustain and oversee connections with independent contractors
- To supervise, uphold and modify schedules for daily, weekly, monthly and yearly health and safety inspections
- To be responsible to the SBM for a range of duties relating to the security, operations, facilities management and monitoring of the school site including the management and supervision of contractors on site.
- To lead a team to ensure that the school buildings, facilities and grounds are maintained to the highest possible standard, are in a proper working order ensuring compliance with relevant Health, Safety & Welfare legislation ensuring to provide a safe working environment for all users of the facility
- To work with the SBM / Headteacher in support of future developmental activity e.g. new build, commercial use etc
- To be lead contact for all site / facilities issues
- Repairs and Maintenance budget holder with management of any facilities related accounts, payment cards, ordering processes and any associated records
- To execute general maintenance and repairs over the entire school site including plumbing systems, carpentry/joinery, plastering, decorating, repairs on furnishings and structures, including carpentry to maintain a secure working atmosphere, with support from outside suppliers where necessary
- Responsibility for the management of the Health and Safety records to ensure that documents are securely stored, shared as required and accessible on request

Requirements for this role:
- Right to work in the UK (Essential)
- Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get new one
- 2 recent professional references
- Previous Facilities Management experience, preferably within a school environment
- Focus on the impact and outcomes of Facilities Management activities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented approach
