We are seeking to appoint an experienced and proactive Finance Officer to join this vibrant school team. The position will begin as soon as possible and the candidate should expect to work Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Responsibilities of this position involve the following:
- Ensuring the budget is balanced, tracking expenditures and ensuring the school remains within its financial means
- Creating financial projections based on student enrollment, staffing and other operational needs
- Ensuring that money is used effectively across different areas such as teaching, administration and facilities
- Making sure the school follows financial regulations, including local government guidelines, national education policies and audit requirements
- Ensuring that staff salaries are paid correctly and on time, including deductions, pensions and benefits
- Managing the purchase of goods and services, ensuring that spending is within the approved budget

Requirements for this role:
- Candidates must be legally authorised to work in the UK
- An up-to-date enhanced DBS check on the update service, or a willingness to apply for a new one
- Experience in an Finance Officer role, ideally within a school setting
- Focus on the impact and outcomes of Finance activities
- Two recent professional references
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A solution-focused attitude, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and improving systems
