Here are the requirements we need from you:
... - Experience of working in a school environment
- Eligible to work in UK (Essential)
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
- Relevant professional experience along with 2 recent professional references
- Comprehensive understanding of administration work practices and their application
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Strong IT skills including use of Word, Excel, Outlook and database entry
- Able to handle volume of work and work effectively under pressure
- Able to work quickly and accurately to deadline
- Attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
The main targets of successful candidate will be:
- Ensure visits to the medical room, accidents treated, medicine administered are recorded daily
- Triage children presenting as unwell, providing appropriate emergency first aid and encouraging children back to class as soon as they recover
- Make phone calls to home and arranging to get children home when necessary
- Responsible for provision of emergency first aid to all children and members of the school community
- Liaise with local health authorities to organise immunisations, vaccinations and health checks, organise the day and supervise children
- Advise parents of immunisation programmes and outbreaks of communicable diseases
- Management of communication for consent on vaccinations
- Record any medical or dietary requirements of new students.
