We are seeking an excellent HR Officer, this exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to work on an ongoing temporary basis. The hours will be 8:00 am - 4:00 pm from Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities for this role will include:
... - Organise all aspects of the Schools recruitment process from start to end. This will include the oversight of safeguarding for appointing new staff ensuring that all staff are registered and safe to teach and work in schools in line with current legislation
- Contribute to the planning, development and organisation of support service systems/procedures/policies
- Develop and maintain efficient HR administrative systems in school and adapting to meet the changing needs of the school
- To support the Cover Coordinator as and when required to ensure that daily cover is organised in a timely manner
- Preparing and drafting adverts, calculating salary for support posts, preparing job descriptions, recruitment information and application packs. Dispatch, receipt and monitoring/processing of these
- Updating and maintaining the schools MIS system ensuring that all staff data is kept secure and confidential. This includes all files for recruitment and contractual correspondence
- Maintaining confidential staff files, filing and updating archive records where appropriate
- Administer HR-related documentation, such as offer letters, contracts of employment, payroll authorisations,pay claims, leavers and pensions information, maternity/paternity letters, jury service, probationary periods, etc.,
- Maintaining employee records including legal requirements and ensuring staff files are up to date
These are some of the requirements that we need to get you cleared for this role :
- Previous HR knowledge/experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage
- System focused with ability to pick up new systems quickly. Highly effective communication skills
- Ability to work on your own initiative. Excellent organisation and planning skills
- Good people management skills, able to delegate and escalate as appropriate
- Good experience of using Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) to create templates and mail merges etc
- Ability to negotiate and liaise confidently with all members of the school community and outside agencies
- Understanding of HR and Payroll processes and basic employment legislation
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
- 2 recent professional references
- Right to work in the UK (Essential)
