We are looking for a HR Officer who demonstrates sound HR knowledge, whilst at the same time being proactive, pragmatic, proficient and enthusiastic.
The hours will be 8:00 am - 4:00 pm from Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities for this role will include:
... - In liaison with payroll, ensure maternity, paternity, adoption and share parental leave letters are administered in a timely fashion
- To ensure all new starter and leaver paperwork is administered accurately
- To manage the HR Information System to ensure that electronic employee records are accurate and up to date. This will include responsibility for data entry and supporting regular and ad hoc reporting
- To provide administrative support to the performance management process To develop and maintain a staff training record of statutory training, e.g. fire safety, first aid etc.
- Support on any required follow up with the relevant line manager in accordance with the appropriate policies and procedures
- Attend staff meetings and training courses, conferences, seminars or other meetings as required by own training needs

These are some of the requirements that we need to get you cleared for this role :
- Previous HR knowledge/experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage
- Good organisational skills, ability to show initiative and to pay close attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in line with GDPR regulations
- Experience of using SIMS or similar database
- Ability to manage high workloads and prioritise tasks
- Understanding of HR and Payroll processes and basic employment legislation
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
- 2 recent professional references
- Right to work in the UK (Essential)
