We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Liaison Officer to join this school in Swanley. This is a vital role that supports children and families, helping to remove barriers to learning and ensuring that every child has the best chance to succeed.
As a Family Liaison Officer, you will work closely with parents, carers and external agencies to promote student well-being, attendance and engagement with school life.
The position will begin as soon as possible and the candidate should expect to work Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Responsibilities of this position involve the following:
- Build strong, supportive relationships with families to enhance student well-being and academic success
- Support families in accessing services, offering advice and signposting to relevant support networks
- Work collaboratively with school staff to improve attendance and reduce persistent absenteeism
- Organise and run parent workshops and engagement activities
- Provide one-to-one support and guidance to students facing challenges
- Maintain accurate records and liaise with safeguarding teams where necessary
Requirements for this role:
- Candidates must be legally authorised to work in the UK
- An up-to-date enhanced DBS check on the update service, or a willingness to apply for a new one
- Two recent professional references
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A solution-focused attitude, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and improving systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage families positively
- A compassionate, non-judgmental and proactive approach
