About the School:
This vibrant School in Haringey is dedicated to the wide variety of students who enrol, ensuring strong routines and top-notch pastoral care for all pupils. This school expects all employees, volunteers and guests to share this dedication and follow their client's child protection policies and procedures.
Working hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. This is a full time position that is open to start ASAP.
Main responsibilities of this role:
... - Apply the school's attendance and punctuality policy, providing guidance and support to their staff
- To assist in meeting agreed targets and outcomes in the school
- To identify those children in need of support by reason of their absence from school
- To assist the school to safeguard students through joint working with other agencies, arranging and attending meetings as appropriate
- To assess need, plan interventions and implement effective actions to support children and their parents/carers to improve attendance
- Undertake home visits as part of ongoing work to engage parents/carers in working together to support children
- To prepare and maintain appropriate case notes and records
Here are the requirements we need from you:
- Experience of working as a Welfare Officer in a school is required
- Eligibility to work in the UK is essential
- Ability to use basic computer skills, such as email and data entry
- Good communication and attention to details skills
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with private matters
- Enhanced DBS is required or willing to create a new one (Randstad will support you for creating a new one)
- 2 previous proven references
