We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Science Teacher to join our partnered vibrant Secondary School based in Stowmarket, to cover a maternity leave from January 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach across Key Stage 3 and 4, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that foster a love of science and support students' academic growth.
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching a full timetable across the three sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics), ensuring that lessons are engaging, well-structured, and in line with the national curriculum. You will be joining a supportive and collaborative department, with a focus on ensuring every student reaches their potential.

Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality Science lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Planning and preparing lessons in line with the national curriculum and school guidelines
- Assessing and monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback
- Encouraging student curiosity and engagement with scientific concepts and experiments
- Collaborating with the Science department to share best practices and improve teaching outcomes
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Have a strong academic background in Science, with a degree in a relevant subject
- Be passionate about inspiring students and promoting scientific thinking
- Have excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Be available to start in January and work full-time for the duration of the maternity cover.
