For the upcoming academic year, a science teacher is needed to join the staff of a secondary school in Plymouth. The school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic science teacher who can infuse the department with new ideas and abilities and truly make a difference.
This is a long-term position beginning in September!

Key Responsibilities:
- As a secondary school teacher, provide pupils with interesting and thorough classes in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology
- Assuring progress and accomplishment, planning, preparing, and evaluating pupil's work
- Make use of a range of instructional strategies and materials to accommodate various learning preferences
- Ensure that the classroom is welcoming and positive
- Work cooperatively with colleagues and take part in departmental conferences and school functions
- Keep abreast of modern scientific advancements and incorporate them into the curriculum
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Must provide 2 proven professional references
- Right to work in the UK
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (Willing to get one)
- A degree in science or in a closely relevant discipline
- Strong background in biology, physics, and chemistry
- Experience teaching science at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
- A track record of success in raising student's development and achievement across all skill levels
