We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a team at a specialist school in the Ripon area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a through school teaching GCSE Science to learners with SEND.

In this role, you will:

• Work with students facing a variety of learning challenges, including those with ASD, ADHD and PMLD.
• Be responsible for teaching engaging and effective science lessons at GCSE level.
• Collaborate effectively with therapists, support staff, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to learning.
• Be part of a positive and supportive school culture where you can contribute your unique skills and experience.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Proven experience as a teacher, including Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Demonstrated expertise in supporting students with SEND, including experience in managing challenging behaviours.
• A commitment to creating a positive and nurturing learning environment that fosters student growth and well-being.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.
• The ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and build strong relationships with your class.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
