As a Science Technician, you will provide essential support to our science department, preparing equipment, materials, and experiments, ensuring a smooth-running and engaging learning environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Equipment: Prepare and set up science experiments and practicals for lessons across various disciplines (Chemistry, Physics, Biology).
- Maintenance of Lab Equipment: Ensure all laboratory equipment is maintained, cleaned, and in good working order.
- Health and Safety: Monitor the safe use of chemicals, equipment, and materials in line with health and safety regulations.
- Stock Management: Order and manage stock of chemicals, equipment, and resources, ensuring timely delivery for lessons.
- Support for Teachers: Assist teachers in the delivery of practical science lessons, providing additional support to students where needed.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory, equipment, and safety checks.
What we are looking for:
- Organised & Efficient: Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines in a busy school environment.
- Health and Safety Awareness: Knowledge of lab safety protocols and the safe handling of chemicals and scientific equipment.
- Practical Skills: Comfortable working with scientific equipment, preparing experiments, and supporting students and teachers during practical lessons.
- Team Player: Collaborative and adaptable, with a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements:
- An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Comprehensive CV covering the last 10 years of education/employment history with any breaks explained.
