We are looking for a dedicated Science/Humanities Teacher to join our team at a thriving Special Educational Needs (SEN) School based in Newmarket.
In this permanent role, you will teach engaging lessons to students with a range of educational needs, fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. Your focus will be on developing students' knowledge, skills, and confidence in either Science or Humanities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons in Science or Humanities, catering to the individual learning needs of students with SEND.
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the school's curriculum and student needs.
- Create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment where all students feel supported and valued.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support students' educational development.
- Use a range of strategies and resources to make learning accessible and enjoyable for all students.
- Track and monitor the progress of students, providing regular feedback to parents and senior leadership.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and school improvement initiatives.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A background in teaching Science or Humanities at secondary level.
- DBS (or the willingness to apply)
- Experience working with students with special educational needs is highly desirable.
- A commitment to inclusive education and promoting equality in the classroom.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
