Main Responsibilities for the role below:
- We are looking to appoint an outstanding History teacher, who will enjoy working in a school that values and delivers excellent professional development.
- The successful candidate will be capable of inspiring students through their passion for the subject, and have a firm belief in the potential of all students.
- Experience of teaching History to KS4 is desirable.
Key Requirements for History Teacher:
- Holding a recognised teaching qualification such as Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), or equivalent, with QTS conferred by an accredited institution.
- Strong background in "teaching" History
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum for History in England or relevant curriculum frameworks at KS3, KS4 in other parts of the UK, as well as specifications set by examination boards for GCSE and A-level qualifications
- Have successful teaching experience at secondary level (can be teaching practice)
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to get a new one
- 2 proven & recent professional references
