Role and Responsibilities:
As a Secondary Music Teacher at, you will:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons to Secondary school students, fostering a passion for music and developing their performance skills.
- Teach IGCSE and IBDP Music, preparing students for their final exams while maintaining a focus on creativity and personal expression.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and departments to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning.
- Contribute to the school's extensive extracurricular programs, including the instrumental program, choir, orchestra, and annual musical production.
- Support the development of students' musical talents and leadership skills through a range of performance opportunities and events.
- Act as a mentor and guide to students, helping them develop a deep appreciation for music and its role in their academic and personal growth.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices and stay current with the latest developments in music education.
Requirements:
- A qualified teacher with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience.
- Experience teaching the UK National Curriculum or IB curriculum is highly desirable but not essential.
- A passion for music education and a commitment to fostering a positive, student-centered learning environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with an international team of educators.
- A creative and flexible approach to teaching, with the ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Previous experience working in a bilingual or multicultural environment is a plus.
- A commitment to extracurricular activities and contributing to the wider school community.
Salary and Benefits Package:
- Salary up to 530,000 RMB per annum (approx. £67,000 GBP), depending on qualifications and experience.
