Section Engineer - Major Highway Project
Randstad are recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer to join a major Civils project in Gloucestershire. This is a contract role offering a competitive rate and the opportunity to work on a critical project.

- Oversee and manage a specific section of the project, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of site staff, including technicians, surveyors, and operatives.
- Implement and maintain safety procedures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage and resolve technical issues that arise within your section, ensuring timely and efficient solutions.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including site surveys, drawings, reports, and safety records.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Section Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- A strong understanding of construction methods and processes, particularly within the highway sector.
* Experience working on complex projects, ideally involving highway construction or similar infrastructure schemes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience working with leading construction companies in the UK.
* Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards for highway construction.
* Experience with construction software, such as AutoCAD and BIM.
