A motivated Teaching Assistant is needed to work at a friendly SEN school in Manchester. You will be essential in helping students with a variety of social, emotional, and mental health concerns as a SEMH Teaching Assistant. You will support the class teacher in implementing individualised learning strategies and interventions, guaranteeing that kids may thrive in a supportive and secure setting.

Your duties as a SEMH Teaching Assistant will include:

Give kids with SEN/SEMH one-on-one and small-group support.
Work closely with educators and support personnel to create a welcoming and encouraging learning environment.
Help keep the classroom in order and provide a welcoming and engaging learning environment.
Create efficient channels of communication with educators, parents, and outside experts.
Assess and track SEN students' social and intellectual development on a regular basis.
Modify instructional materials and resources to meet the needs of students with varying learning styles.

Requirements

Experience volunteering or working with children who have special educational needs (SEND) (ideally with autism/ADHD experience).
Strong ability to control behavior.
The capacity to cooperate as a team member.
Kind and sympathetic disposition.
Dedication to protecting children.
A DBS regarding the update service or the desire to acquire one.
