The Role :
We are looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to work at a welcoming SEN School based in King's Lynn, providing support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who need additional help to succeed and build their confidence in a supportive environment. You will also support students in managing and improving their behaviour by using positive reinforcement and de-escalation strategies.
This is a fantastic opportunity to help students develop coping strategies to deal with anxiety, frustration, or other emotional challenges.

Your Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN/SEMH.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Assist in maintaining classroom order, fostering a positive and stimulating learning atmosphere.
- Establish effective communication with parents, teachers, and external professionals.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate the academic and social progress of students with SEN.
- Adapt teaching materials and resources to accommodate diverse learning needs.
Requirements:
- Experience working or volunteering with SEND children (preferably with autism/ADHD experience).
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Caring and empathetic personality.
- Commitment to safeguarding children.
- A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
