The Role :
We are looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to work at a well regarded SEN School based in Thetford. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health challenges. You will work alongside the school's experienced teaching staff to deliver tailored support, helping students engage with their learning, manage their emotions, and build essential life skills. Your support will empower students to overcome barriers and reach their full potential in both academic and social development.

Your Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN/SEMH.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Assist in maintaining classroom order, fostering a positive and stimulating learning atmosphere.
- Establish effective communication with parents, teachers, and external professionals.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate the academic and social progress of students with SEN.
- Adapt teaching materials and resources to accommodate diverse learning needs.
Requirements:
- Experience working or volunteering with SEND children (preferably with autism/ADHD experience).
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Caring and empathetic personality.
- Commitment to safeguarding children.
- A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
