We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist setting in the Wakefield area, supporting KS3/KS4 students with ASD needs. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, with a competitive daily pay rate of £95-£115.

Key Responsibilities:
... - Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with ASD to help them engage in lessons and develop essential skills.
- Assist with the development and implementation of personalised learning plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Promote positive social interactions and support students in developing emotional regulation and resilience.
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to the teaching team.
- Support students during non-classroom activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with ASD or additional social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of strategies for supporting students with challenging behaviour and social communication difficulties.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with young people.
- Ability to work effectively within a team, collaborating with other staff members and external professionals.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students (Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one).
