Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted support to students with behavioural challenges, using strategies tailored to their individual needs.
- Assist classroom teachers in managing classroom behaviour, creating a positive and conducive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to develop and implement behaviour management plans.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adjusting strategies as necessary to promote positive behaviour.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students, encouraging their confidence and active participation in school activities.
- Utilise a variety of resources and techniques to support students in developing appropriate social and behavioural skills.
- Deliver one-on-one or small group mentoring sessions focused on improving student behaviour and emotional well-being.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with behavioural challenges is beneficial, but we welcome candidates with a genuine passion for making a positive impact.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards education and a commitment to supporting the personal and behavioural development of children.
- Flexibility and adaptability to tailor support strategies to the evolving needs of students.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- While not mandatory, relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management or child development are advantageous.
