Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, term-time only
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with students aged 11-16 who have special educational needs, including Autism. You'll provide classroom support and assist students in practical, hands-on activities such as Bushcraft and life skills. Your contribution will be essential in helping students achieve their academic, social, and personal development goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer individualised support while ensuring student safety and well-being.
- Help students work towards their Education and Healthcare Plan (EHCP) targets.
- Implement positive behaviour strategies tailored to each student's needs.
- Keep detailed records of incidents, accidents, and health and safety matters.
- Encourage teamwork and positive social interactions among students.
What We're Looking For:

- Be passionate about supporting young people's growth and development.
- Have patience and the ability to manage challenging behaviour with care.
- Be creative and proactive in solving problems.
- Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills are required.
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
