We're seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant in Berkeley, Gloucestershire. About the Role
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you'll be instrumental in assisting students with additional learning needs, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other learning differences. Working alongside teachers and other professionals, you'll help create an inclusive learning atmosphere where every student feels valued and supported.
Key Responsibilities:
- Individualised Support: Provide one-on-one and group support tailored to each student's specific needs.
- Classroom Assistance: Help students access and engage with the curriculum, breaking down tasks and providing encouragement.
- Behavioural Support: Implement strategies to create a positive and structured environment conducive to learning.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and SEN Coordinators to adapt learning materials and support student progress.
- Observation & Reporting: Track and report on student progress, offering insights to improve learning plans.
What We're Looking For
- No Experience Needed: While previous experience with SEN is a plus, it's not essential-we're looking for passion and commitment.
- Compassionate Approach: Patience, empathy, and a supportive attitude towards working with students with SEN.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust your approach to meet individual student needs.
- Strong Communication Skills: Able to engage with students, teachers, and families effectively.
