We are looking for a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant (SEN LSA) in Berkeley, Gloucestershire, to provide essential support to students with special educational needs. About the Role
As an SEN LSA, you'll work alongside classroom teachers to deliver individualised support for students with additional needs, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other learning challenges. This is a hands-on role focused on creating an inclusive and encouraging environment where every student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- One-on-One and Group Support: Provide tailored support that fosters engagement and understanding.
- Classroom Assistance: Help students stay engaged and adapt lesson materials as needed to suit individual learning styles.
- Positive Behaviour Management: Apply behavioural strategies that support a calm and structured learning environment.
- Collaborative Approach: Partner with teachers and other staff to support each student's unique learning journey.
- Tracking Progress: Observe, record, and report on student progress, contributing valuable insights for Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
