We are seeking a dedicated SEN / SEMH Teacher to work four days a week (Monday to Thursday) in LS12. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher with a strong understanding of special educational needs (SEN) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. While Team Teach training is preferred, it is not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons to support students with diverse learning needs.
- Create an inclusive and structured classroom environment that promotes emotional and academic development.
- Use behaviour management strategies to support students in regulating emotions and staying engaged.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
- Track student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance learning outcomes.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working with students with SEN and SEMH needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills and a compassionate approach.
- Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of individual learners.
- Team Teach qualification (preferred but not essential).
- A commitment to safeguarding and supporting student well-being.
