This bright, modern, and welcoming school is now seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team ASAP. The position has opened due to a valued team member retiring after 25 years of service.
The school supports 70+ pupils aged 5 to 19 with complex and profound SEN needs. As a Teaching Assistant, your role will be to help re-engage young learners who have experienced extended periods out of education, ensuring they enjoy school life again. You will assist in delivering specialised teaching alongside integrated therapeutic support, all within a nurturing environment with small class sizes, allowing for personalised learning that breaks down barriers.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 4 PM), starting as soon as possible. Full training and immediate access to free, fully funded qualifications will be provided. All applicants for this position must have the following requirements to be considered:
- Relevant SEN experience
- Experience (voluntary or paid) working with children and young adults
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
- Eligibility to work in the UK
Responsibilities:
- Supporting in the delivery of engaging and interactive lessons and educational activities
- Supporting learners with SEN on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis
