This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-regarded school, rated "good" by Ofsted. This independent, specialized day school provides high-quality education to students in Key Stages 1, 2, and 3. They cater to pupils with a primary diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder and additional needs such as ADHD, speech and language difficulties, sensory issues, and associated behavioral challenges.
In this role, you will need to build warm, caring, and supportive relationships with pupils, helping them feel safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn during their time at the school. Applicants must be dynamic, resilient, and flexible in their approach to learning. This is a full-time role, and applicants must be available Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in carrying out educational strategies that are appropriate for each child's learning goals.
- Develop a connection of trust with every child and communicate with them in ways they can understand.
- Encourage diversity, acceptance, and inclusion, ensuring all children have equal access to learning and growth.
- Engage children's participation and ensure they are attentive during lessons.
- Provide opportunities for developing independence.
- Give feedback to children, parents, and caregivers about their development, accomplishments, and potential issues as directed by the teaching team.
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of the national curriculum
- Experience working with SEN pupils
- A drive to inspire the next generation
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- An enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
