The school is urgently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the team on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm). In this role, you will play a crucial part in preparing students for life through person-centered academic and vocational study programs, fostering independent living with employment or further study.
Working collaboratively with our exceptional educational team, you will contribute to enhancing resilience, confidence, self-esteem, emotional intelligence, and overall well-being in these remarkable children and young adults. The school caters to individuals aged 11-16 years and offers extensive grounds, including horticultural areas, outdoor learning environments, a gym, digital studio, and science labs.
This is a term-time-only position with permanent opportunities available for the right candidate.

Your Responsibilities:
- Assist students during class, ensuring they stay on track.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to maintain a smoothly running class.
- Enable learners to access the curriculum effectively.
- Support the pastoral needs of the learners.
- Actively contribute to setting up the learning environment.
- Provide support to learners on a 1:1 basis and within small groups throughout various activities.
- Utilize your interests to engage learners in the educational process.
Ideal Candidate Skills and Capabilities:
- Ability to work with learners facing various learning difficulties.
- Confidence to support group activities across different educational subjects.
- Own transport (desirable but not essential).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- NVQ Level 2 in Teaching and Learning is desirable but not essential.
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
