SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Darwen, Lancashire
Salary: £11.72 - £12.78 per hour (annual equivalent: £20,941.30 - £22,835.30, depending on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week - Term Time Only

We are looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 1-2) to join our team in Darwen. You will support students aged 10-19 with a range of complex needs, including Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, and other related conditions.

Role Overview ...

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' academic and personal growth. You will work closely with the class teacher to develop lesson plans tailored to individual needs and foster a positive, supportive learning environment. Managing student behaviour and promoting well-being will be key components of your role.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in planning, delivering, and assessing learning activities.
Provide feedback and updates on student progress.
Help students stay engaged and manage behaviour effectively.
Track student development and maintain records according to school policies.
Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.

Skills and Experience Required:

Previous experience working with SEN children.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (required for student transport on a rota).
GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above) - mandatory.
Level 2 or higher qualification in Teaching and Learning Support (preferred).
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Positive, flexible attitude with a commitment to helping students succeed.
