Randstad Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who is dedicated and passionate about dealing with special needs children and young people.
This role is available to start as soon as possible at wonderful schools around the Chelmsford area. This position requires some experience working with SEN/children.
Our client schools offer instruction to students with physical disabilities, illnesses, and related learning and communication challenges. We give young people an educational experience that will not only help them improve their academic skills but will also foster personal growth and self-esteem.
All the pupils who attend our schools will have an Educational Health Care plan, many of the pupils have complex needs in addition to autism, and many have severe learning difficulties (SLD). Pupils may also have social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, sensory/physical needs, or specific learning difficulties.

Requirements:
- An up to date enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one.
- Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
- Previous experience working with young people with challenging behaviour is essential.
- Strong understanding of various special educational needs, along with excellent communication, patience, and empathy.
- Ability to manage and positively respond to challenging behaviour.
