Do you have experience working with students with Autism and complex learning needs? We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join our specialist school in Derby. Our students thrive in an inclusive, structured, and supportive environment-and we need a teacher who shares our vision of helping every child reach their full potential.

Your Role:

• Plan and deliver individualised learning programs that cater to students' needs.
• Implement creative and engaging teaching methods to enhance learning.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage classroom behaviour positively, using de-escalation techniques where necessary.
• Use PECS, Makaton, or sensory-based approaches to support communication and learning.

Ideal Candidate:

• QTS / PGCE (or equivalent).
• Experience working with Autism, SEMH, and additional learning needs.
• Knowledge of TEACCH, PECS, and sensory integration techniques.
• Excellent behaviour management skills and a calm, patient nature.
• A commitment to fostering student growth, independence, and confidence.
