We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join our specialist school, supporting children with Autism (ASC), Speech and Language Needs (SLCN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH), and Complex Learning Difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that cater to students' individual learning needs.
- Create a structured, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies, including visual aids, sensory learning, and assertive technology.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to provide a holistic approach to education.
- Support the emotional, social, and personal development of each student.
Who We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent).
- Experience working with SEN students, preferably in a specialist or inclusive setting.
- Strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional needs.
- Ability to use PECS, Makaton, AAC, or other communication tools (desirable but not essential).
- A patient, adaptable, and creative approach to teaching.
