About the Role:
We are searching for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to become part of our inclusive school community in Almondsbury. This full-time, permanent role focuses on supporting students with special educational needs in a structured and nurturing environment. Working alongside a dedicated team, you'll help create impactful learning experiences, foster positive behaviour, and provide tailored support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small-group assistance for SEN students, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
- Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies to create a positive environment.
- Adapt curriculum materials to meet diverse student needs.
- Track student progress, sharing insights with staff and parents to support individual growth.
Requirements:
- Experience: Experience in an SEN environment is preferred but not essential for motivated candidates.
- Skills: Strong communication, adaptability, and a caring approach towards SEN students.
- Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English proficiency is desirable.
