Are you looking to start or develop your career in special education? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and welcoming school in BH9, Bournemouth, supporting students with additional learning needs.
Your Role
As an SEN TA, you will provide targeted support for children with Autism, ADHD, and Speech & Language difficulties, helping them develop key skills and build confidence in their learning. You'll work closely with the class teacher to create a safe and engaging classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Support students with SEN in both group and one-to-one settings.
- Encourage communication and social interaction.
- Help manage behaviour using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Assist with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
What You Need
- Experience working with children with additional needs (preferred).
- Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning (desirable).
- A positive, proactive, and compassionate approach.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
