We are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist Post-16 provision. You'll support students aged 16-19 with learning difficulties and autism, helping them build life skills, independence, and confidence as they prepare for adulthood.
Key Responsibilities:
Support individual or small group sessions focusing on functional literacy, numeracy, and independent living skills.
Assist students with personal care and mobility where necessary.
Encourage social communication and appropriate interaction within the wider community.
Liaise with therapists, tutors, and external agencies to promote a holistic learning experience.
Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience with SEN, particularly Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties.
Calm, patient, and emotionally resilient.
Ability to adapt resources and support students with EHCPs.
